Let’s welcome in the New Year, with a new outlook on life,
re-prioritize your goals and recommit to your husband or wife.
Give your employer that extra effort, when you perform your job,
make sure you are honest on your taxes; Uncle Sam do not rob.
Be kind to your neighbors, even if they treat you with contempt,
for one never knows what will transpire, if you make an attempt.
Donate some money to the poor, not just during the holidays,
should someone only worship God, on Sabbath or Sundays?
This time of year, gives us an opportunity, to begin with a clean slate,
but the first of January happens only once a year, please don’t wait.
Remember to set aside time for worship, to get to know the God we love,
He is always available to listen to you, from his throne in Heaven above.
“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.” – Deuteronomy 6:5 (KJV)
“Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” – Matthew 22:36-40
