We trust someone will catch us,
when we’re delivered into this life.
A baby can face injury or death,
without a trained doctor or midwife.
We trust in parents and teachers,
to ensure our children are safely raised.
Sometimes we tend to dismiss them,
or they’re criticized, not praised.
We trust that someone will stay with us,
in the days before we pass away.
A person to console and hold our hand,
to share words of peace, to pray.
But, most of all we trust in the LORD,
Creator, caregiver, Savior, and guide.
Who stays with us every second,
Jesus will never leave our side.
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.” – Proverbs 3:5-8 (KJV)
