An idea floats through the writer’s mind,

as he struggles to interpret it’s meaning.

Dare he share the thoughts with anyone,

or does the subject matter require screening?

*

It is a battle inside the mind of the author,

balancing private thoughts from the entertaining.

As the pen shares its ink with the white paper,

he avoids the perception of complaining.

*

After much effort on the part of creative juices,

the written work is molded into its final form.

He glances at the finished piece of hard work,

and wonders if it lies within the norm.

No, I dropped my Twitter account after the last election as well as my former blog. I wanted to focus on poetry as a medium to share my thoughts and feelings.
