A man almost knocks me down,
as I feel the breeze strike my face.
He is running with a shopping cart,
in this crazy grocery place?
Car horns fill the morning air,
as an elderly woman climbs in the cab,
Can’t they see their actions are as rude,
as someone taunting or throwing a jab?
Why are some people so impatient,
if we don’t move as fast as some do?
Is time running short in their lives,
does that sound anything like you?
I believe people should be punctual,
it is the polite thing to be done.
Does it mean they must be rude,
only looking out for number one?
There is a delicate balance,
in the world that we live.
Does effective time management,
mean that we have no respect to give?
Next time you find yourself,
rushing to your next destination.
Remember that others have a life too,
so, please have some consideration.
