Poem: My Angel

Today I saw an angel,

not the kind with wings.

She was a natural beauty,

without cosmetics or rings.

Her eyes saw through me,

as I passed her on the right.

Her face was angelic,

then she vanished out of sight.

I searched the block,

but couldn’t find a clue.

She just disappeared,

after only a moment or two.

What happened to this beauty,

a rarity in a world of disguise.

Her appearance was heavenly,

the look on her face wise.

I sit on park bench remembering,

her perfect glowing face,

Will I ever see her again,

can I find her home base.

I close my eyes tightly,

she appears to me in a beam.

My glowing vision of beauty,

is merely a day-dream.
